After 'The Split', the Macquoan wandered aimlessly across Umoret Tundra, trekking through snowstorms and fighting off the fierce foes in this forgotten land - their numbers dwindled. One day, as all hope seemed to be lost, the Macquoan stumbled upon a giant tree hidden within the tundra. It was quickly revealed that the interior of this tree was a massive, vacant village - practically untouched. It would become known as 'Cobalt Root Village'. The Macquoan, however, were not the first ones to step foot here. Deep beneath the village, a winding stairway led to a mechanical cavern where the Macquoan would stumble upon one of Vaetiria's biggest mysteries - Moth Dragons.
